Metal braces

Metal Fixed braces are traditionally known as ‘train tracks’. They are the most common type of braces used for children but very popular amongst adults too.

They are made of high-grade stainless steel and they straighten teeth by using archwires and brackets.  Modern technology has allowed for this appliance to be low profile and extremely comfortable.

Metal Fixed braces are the standard type of brace available on the NHS for patients under 18 years old who qualify for treatment based on the Index of Orthodontic Treatment Need (IOTN)
